Peak Season: June to August

Romania has four distinct seasons, and in coastal regions, where temperatures can reach into the high 30s C (100s F) in summer, these are the best months for beaches and many of the Black Sea resorts, but they're also the most crowded.

Off Season: November to March

This is not strictly an off season, because Romania has something to offer at every time of the year, and in winter there’s plenty of opportunity for winter sports and an extensive ski industry.

Shoulder Season: April to May, September to October

Romania's temperate continental climate, with cool nights and warm days, make spring and fall ideal for hiking, biking, bird watching, or just enjoying the colorful fall foliage and wildflower-strewn meadows of the Danube River delta. These seasons are also great for castle-hopping.
