The former fire station headquarters has been transformed into the Toy Museum. Based on the collection of João Arbués Moreira, who began hoarding playthings when he was 14, the museum occupies more than four floors and contains thousands of toy planes, trains, and automobiles; dolls' furniture; rare lead soldiers; and puppets. There's also a playroom for kids and a café. A planned cut in government funding has, however, placed a dark cloud over the museum's continued existence.
