This cute 19th-century country house turned bed-and-breakfast is in the village of Quintola de Santana, a five-minute drive up the hill from Sesimbra beach. The five rooms have rustic-style furniture and some have balconies. The owners are wonderful hosts who make a fabulous breakfast that can be enjoyed on the pretty outdoor terrace when it's warm. The rest of the property is a maze of flower-filled gardens that lead to a hidden outdoor pool complete with a wooden patio and lounge rockers. If you want to explore the surrounding countryside, the owners will happily provide info on what to see and do.
