CS Vintage House Review

This hotel on the northern bank of the Douro, 32 km (18 mi) east of Régua in a beautifully restyled former Tayor port wine warehouse, has unrivaled views. The village of Pinhão is also historic and charming—much more pleasant than the larger, more modern Régua. Guest rooms are cast in soft mauves and browns, and all have balconies or private terraces looking out over the garden, swimming pool, and river beyond. Inside is a lounge-cum-games room with pool table and a cozy Library Bar with piano. The breakfast room also has a river view, as does the sophisticated Rabelo restaurant, with its huge terrace. It's good for regional dishes or try something lighter such as salmão fumado com salada de ovo e caviar (smoked salmon with egg salad and caviar).
