This internationally renowned, Michelin-star restaurant in the Casa da Calçada hotel serves innovative Portuguese cuisine, and is overseen by talented chef Vítor Matos. Carefully constructed tasting menus are on offer (including one for children and, unusually for Portugal, another for vegetarians), but you may also order à la carte. Note that portions are quite small, though, so the full menu is the best value. Dishes available might include bacalhau cooked at an ultra-low
temperature to retain the maximum flavor, or bísaro regional pork in a blood and cumin sauce, served with chestnut gnocchi. Staff can offer expert help in choosing wine from the lengthy list (which includes the hotel's own vinho verde).
