Fodor's Review

Housed in the bunker-like Belém Cultural Center, the Museu Berardo is a showcase for one of Europe's most important private collections of modern art. Works from this treasure trove—which range from Picasso through Warhol to Portugal's own Paula Rego—are regularly rotated through the galleries and there are also excellent visiting exhibitions. The complex has a restaurant and several cafés. Its roof gardens and terrace bar afford fine views of the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and the Rio Tejo.
