Fodor's Review

Combining the elegance of a 19th-century manor house with the modern amenities of a luxury resort, Lapa Palace satisfies a wide range of travelers. The spectacular gardens are dotted with lakes and waterfalls and have an expansive swimming pool, children's plunge pool, and sundeck. The spa has a heated indoor pool, fully equipped gym, steam baths, and massage rooms. The rooms have sun-soaked balconies and views of the garden below: the higher you are, the better the view.

The renowned Cipriani restaurant offers Italian and Portuguese dishes such as lobster ravioli, seafood risotto, and roasted suckling pig. The comfortable bar is a great place for drinks and conversation.
