Fodor's Review:
Set back from the road amid gardens, this intimate town house has been in the hands of the same family for more than 100 years. The painted-and-tiled facade sets a refined, solidly 19th-century tone that's continued inside by the heavy drapes, impressive stairway, period furniture, and art. In cooler weather you eat breakfast in the dining room surrounded by cabinets of old porcelain; on warmer days you can enjoy the day's first meal in the garden. Book well in advance to secure a room here.
