The Museu Exilio, inaugurated in 1942, above the post office, has a collection of memorabilia relating to Portugal's mid-20th-century history. It consists mostly of black-and-white photos with captions in Portuguese, focusing on Estoril's community of aristocratic exiles who fled here from northern Europe during World War II. There's also an exhibit devoted to the Nazi persecution of the Jews.
