Along the Avenida de Brasília that follows the river is a series of new restaurants. The most outstanding is the Kais, describing itself as "industrial chic." At the beginning of the 20th century, the space held a factory that produced electric generators. While waiting for the main meal, you'll be served a "chef's secret": a very small bowl of the daily soup. Some of the dishes on the menu include shrimp done in champagne sauce and steamed fish. Below the restaurant is a large rustic wine cellar with wooden tables and large wine casks.
