The high wrought-iron gates of Warsaw University lead into a leafy campus with some beautiful buildings. The Palac Kazimierzowski (Kazimierzowski Palace), which currently houses the university administration, is among the more historic campus buildings but also a focal point for the university. In the 18th century it was the Military Cadet School where Tadeusz Kosciuszko studied.
