Fodor's Expert Review Hotel Molo

Podjazd 6, Sopot, Pomerania, 81-805, Poland

This brand-new, Scandinavian-style hotel in Sopot can't be beaten for its convenient location right at the (recently modernized) light-rail and long-distance railway station with a fast and easy connection to Gdańsk and Gdynia. At the same time, it's at the top of the lively Monciak (Monte Cassino) street, the entertainment, dining, and shopping promenade leading straight onto the famous Sopot pier (the "molo"). In fact, the pier and the Sopot beach are only 500 meters away. The rooms were designed in "Scandi" style, which has become fashionable in this seaside town, with wood panels, white walls, minimalist furniture, and no carpets. What is important in summer months is that all rooms are air-conditioned. Simple and pleasant, they are surprisingly spacious for their budget prices.

PROS

  • super-convenient location
  • simplicity of room decor
  • air-conditioned in the summer

CONS

  • rooms can be a bit too spartan for some
