Venetian owners Roberto and Francesco believe in a hands-on approach to running their restaurant, so they are nearly always present: taking orders, chatting with customers, and checking to make sure that everything is okay. In fact, the homemade pastas, tiramisu, and sgroppino cocktails (made with Prosecco and lemon sorbet) are more than okay—they are excellent. Frequent visitors include Cardinal Dziwisz and conductor John Axelrod, and the Italian community in Kraków call it their second home.

""This is without doubt one of the best restaurants I have EVER been in, and that is saying something, because I travel a lot. The quality and selection of food and wines are matched only by the friendliness and warmth of Francesco, Roberto and the team there. No other comes close. I would live in that restaurant if I could. If you have not been yet, you are in for a treat. A non-descript entrance from the street belies the quality and experience that await below. The extensive menu is only an indication of the wizardry that the team can conjure up. Ask for a recommendation of what is featured on the day. MAGIC!" "
