Fodor's Expert Review Hotel Tobaco

This boutique hotel in a historic cigarette factory is the top hotel in Łódź, offering far more than it's official three-star designation might suggest. The stylish, modern rooms and public spaces are very well designed, both aesthetically and practically, always keeping the needs of guests in the forefront. Despite its historic origins, this is a nonsmoking hotel, though its history is suggested through fragments of lovely red-brick walls, old ads, and other memorabilia found during the renovation. The hotel's well-regarded, popular restaurant serves scrumptious breakfast in the morning (included in the rates), as well as great à la carte meals for both hotel guests and locals alike. But the biggest treasure of this hotel is its staff, always helpful and polite in a very natural, easygoing way, who seem to love their work at Tobaco.
