Public telephones take NKr 1, 5, 10, and 20 coins, and you need NKr 5 to get through. Most phone booths in Oslo accept both credit cards and cash. International phone cards are the best value for long-distance calls. These are available at newsstands across town. The international prefix for dialing out of Norway is 00.
