Universitet (The University)

Universitet (The University) Review

Only open to the public in conjunction with events, the University's Aula building is a significant example of 19th century Norwegian architecture. The middle building of three, the Aula is decorated with murals by Edvard Munch. Look for The Sun, which shows penetrating rays falling over a fjord. This building was the site of the Nobel peace prize award ceremony until 1989, when it was moved to the City Hall.
