Fodor's Review:

This privately funded museum opened in 1993 and earned an international reputation for its collections of postwar Norwegian and international art. In its smaller gallery, British artist Damien Hirst's controversial installation Mother and Child Divided is on display. The museum's permanent collection includes works by international artists, such as Yoko Ono and Jeff Koons, as well as Norwegians like Odd Nerdrum and Olav Christopher Jenssen. There's also a glassed-in sculpture garden with Niki de St. Phalle's sparrow and several other oversize 20th-century figures.
