Norsk Fjellmuseum (Norwegian Mountain Museum)

Norsk Fjellmuseum (Norwegian Mountain Museum) Review

A woolly mammoth looms at the entrance to Norsk Fjellmuseum. The museum focuses on people's relationship with the Norwegian mountain landscape, from the primitive hunters and gatherers who lived here to modern Norwegian society, with its belief in leisure time and outdoor recreational activities. One of the most interesting exhibits deals with early mountaineering and mountain road building. The National Park exhibit makes for an interesting introduction to the flora, fauna, and topography of Jotunheimen.
