Most Bergen banks in downtown are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:15 to 3:30, and Thursday from 8:15 to 6. Some are open on Saturday from 10 to 1. From mid-May through September, most close a half hour earlier. The 24-hour Bergen Card, which costs NKr 165 (NKr 245 for 48 hours), gives admission to most museums, as well as Fantoft Stave Church, St. Mary's Church, Banco Rotto, and Bergen Trotting Park; unlimited bus travel in central Bergen; parking at public meters and outdoor automatic ticket machines; unlimited funicular rides; and discounts at Akvariet aquarium, Troldhaugen, Vannkanten, and selected restaurants, and on car rentals, concerts, theater, and selected souvenirs. The card is available at the tourist office and in most hotels. The Fjord Pass gives considerable discounts on hotel rooms, and can be purchased at the railway station.
