Fodor's Review

The Bergen Aquarium is one of the largest collections of North Sea fish and invertebrates in Europe. It has 60 tanks and two outdoor pools with seals and penguins. Tanks inside are filled with schools of colorful tropical fish as well as Norwegian salmon and common eels, which tend to wrap around each other. There is also a section with alligators from different parts of the world on display. The Aquarium: Bergen and the Local Coastline—a 360-degree video directed

by one of Norway's most beloved animators, the late Ivo Caprino—is shown every hour, as is the 3D-film SOS Planet. The aquarium is on Nordnes Peninsula, a 20-minute walk from the fish market. You can also take Bus 11 or the ferry from the fish market.
