This new restaurant in a 17th-century mansion that was once a bank has become a showpiece for the creative talents of chefs Mark and Liane Gratema. The small gracious dining room is traditional, with white-painted wooden beams, brightened crisp linens, and light filtering through the mullioned windows. Ask for a table with a view of the enclosed garden (open in summer), or better yet, a table outside, and try the monkfish with shrimp, calf's cheek, spinach, and sherry. The restaurant is convenient to both the Frans Hals and the Teylers museums.
