In the shadow of Sint Janskerk and opposite a leafy square, this very friendly, modern hotel in a 19th-century jacket offers pretty and well-kept rooms at excellent prices. The attractive exterior of the 1870 building has Art Nouveau leanings, while the interior is very 21st century. Rooms are airy and stylishly understated, with floral-theme paintings on the walls. Some bathrooms have tubs. In the center of town, the hotel is ideally situated within easy walking distance of the canals, as well as plenty of shopping and dining choices.
