Fodor's Review

Literally wallpapered with grand paintings and exquisite fabrics and tapestries, this oft-overlooked treasure-house is the former residence of noted 19th-century Dutch painter H. W. Mesdag. Famed for his vast Panorama Mesdag, he left this house as a repository for his collection of works from The Hague School, which often featured seascapes and the life of fisherfolk in nearby Scheveningen.
