You may be hypnotized by the magenta-dyed mustache that the eponymous shop owner sports, but it's Simon's toy treasures that will make your child as pop-eyed as some of the vintage dolls here. The 35-year-old shop is crammed with wonders: an 18th-century rocking horse as finely carved as an 18th-century sculpture; a 4-foot-long wooden ice skate (a former store sign); a 1-inch doll with tiny hinged limbs; vintage trains and collector teddy bears; and porcelain dolls dressed for a costume ball. Some of the toys here even date back to the mid-18th century, which was when this shop first opened as a pharmacy. In the back is a small garden and a cottage, now the atelier of Dutch painter Anton Hoeboeur, whose works are for sale.
