You can't miss this over-the-top Chinese floating restaurant, parked on the Oosterdok near Central Station. But in what could easily be a tourist trap, the authenticity and freshness of the dim sum and other dishes often surprise. In fact, inside you'll find a mainly Chinese crowd enjoying nongreasy pork buns and tasty shrimp dumplings—along with more exotic offerings like beef intestines—in an ornate atmosphere of red paper lanterns and red- and black-lacquered ceilings
that wouldn't be out of place in Hong Kong or Vancouver. Best of all, Sea Palace serves dim sum every day until 11 pm, or choose from their extensive Canton, Macau, and Peking duck menus.
