La Perla Review
It's tough to find good pizza in this town, but the folks at this outpost—tucked away on a happening Jordaan sidestreet—have it pretty darn close. Their brick-oven, thin crust Neapolitan-style pies draw lively crowds of locals and tourists alike who invariably stand in line for a taste of their classic margherita, quattro formaggi (four cheeses), or spicy puttanesca (no slices, just whole pizzas). Sit at the long communal table or, if you're lucky enough, land one of the few separate tables. Though there's no atmosphere to speak of, you're here for the pie. Others will prefer to head for the roomier La Perla outpost across the street, where you can also sit outside.
