Dappermarkt Review

Its length running along the eponymous street between Mauritsakade and Wijttenbachstraat, this market has, since 1910, been a consumer crossroads for what is today known as Amsterdam Oost ("East"). A couple hundred stalls, set up Monday through Saturday (10–4.30), sell everything from discount clothing and cosmetics to flowers and food. Successful juxtaposition of 100% pure lamb-meat kebabs with Indonesian lumpia is surely just one reason National Geographic Traveler has included the market in its top-10 list of markets worldwide.
