This centrally-located family-run hotel offers contemporary rooms for a competitive price.
Fodor's Expert Review
Conveniently located between Centraal Station and Dam Square, this family-run hotel offers contemporary rooms for a competitive price, and while the décor is hardly original it all looks spick and span.
You Should Know You’re in the hubbub of central Amsterdam here, so if you’re noise-sensitive ask for a room at the back.

Room
The crisp, well-kept rooms here feature dramatic, mural-size photographs of city sights−practically a ubiquitous feature in Amsterdam hotels these days it has to be said−many of which are within easy walking distance. Some provide Instagram-worthy, sweeping views of gabled rooftops. Rooms at the back are the quietest, the quaintest are tucked under the two-story mansard roof, and all are nicely done in contemporary style, even if not very original. Beds are comfortable and facilities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and iPod docks, though there is no air-conditioning.
Bathroom
Small modern bathrooms feature walk-in showers and sleek vanities, plus all the other standard amenities.
Lobby
There’s a 24-hour reception desk with friendly staff.
Tip You’re an 8-minute walk from Centraal Station. Not that mobile? Several trams stop right outside.
Dining
A complimentary Continental breakfast buffet is served in a brightly decorated dining area.
Drinking
There is a hotel bar, but with so many options available in the area, we say “keep walking”!

Getting Around
Located along a highly trafficked street in the busy Centrum area, this hotel offers good access to central Amsterdam and the canals on foot. Various tram lines stop opposite the hotel or walk to Centraal Station for more options.
Restaurants
A 7-minute stroll will take you to one of the city’s most romantic restaurants, De Belhamel for French-Italian fare in a Belle Epoque ambiance. Restaurant Anna (7-minute walk) serves modern European cuisine in a stylish setting that forms a stark contrast to its location at the heart of the Red Light District. With its cozy fireside Chesterfields and low-lit, theatrically-inspired décor, The Lobby Restaurant (9-minute walk) sets the scene for delicious tête-à-têtes. It is a popular local hangout and dining destination (the flammkuchen, are famous!), and there’s a covered outdoor terrace, too.
