Fodor's Review:

At the northern end of Kloverniersburgwal, the square known as Nieuwmarkt hosts its own smaller-scale market offering the basics in Amsterdam open-air trade. Every Saturday from 9-5, a boerenmarkt, or organic farmers' market, hosts specialist stalls selling essential oils and other New Age fare alongside the oats, legumes, and vegetables. From May through October, you can find curiosa, art, and books when the antiekmarkt (antique market) sets up its weekly shop.
