Fodor's Review:

Seeking a little New Amsterdam in Old Amsterdam? Stop by the lounge-bar of this relatively new hotel, where dark oak floors, sleek black tables, low lights, and sequestered seating arrangements evoke an old boys' club in midtown Manhattan—minus the elitism. In fact, almost all the staff are service-industry students in training. Seek the fireplace out on a chilly night, and on Sundays from September through June there's live samba.
