Bustling and student-filled, this place near the university serves handsome portions of traditional Dutch home cooking, choice cuts of meat with simple sauces, fine fries, and piles of mixed salad. You can sit at the wood bar or take a table high up in the rafters at the back, surrounded by ancient wallpapers. In summer you can watch the passing boats from the enchanting canal-side terrace.
