De Kas

De Kas Review

This 1926-built municipal "greenhouse" must be the ultimate workplace for chefs: they can begin the day picking the best and freshest of homegrown produce before building an inspired Mediterranean menu around them. For diners it's equally sumptuous, especially since the setting includes two very un-Dutch commodities—lots of light and a giddy sense of vertical space, thanks to the glass roof. The frequently changing prix-fixe menu always consists of a selection of small starters, followed by a main course and a dessert. Don't miss out on the house cocktail: champagne with lemon basil.

If you like trendy - go for it.
I have eaten here three time and the food is consistently good, but the place is too loud and if you get a noisy table next to yours, forget enjoying your conversation. Service is O.K. Overall I consider the place overrated.
