This trendy hot spot suggests a simple Italian trattoria at first glance—until, that is, you notice the '70s shag carpeting covering the walls. The surprises continue, thanks to Pulpo's remarkable friendliness and reasonable prices. So, settle back, groove to jazzy tunes, and splash some Mediterranean sunshine down with a glass of fine Italian wine. The main courses are simple but always top-notch—few can resist the signature marinated squid with rucola (arugula) and lime, or the ever-popular candied duck. And if you arrive before 6:45 PM, a three-course, preconcert menu will set you back only EUR 26.

As we travel, fodors guide is our riend and once again, it was perfect.
It's was like in Italy, little trattoria with incredible food. The service was also exactly what you would want, nothing too much or not enough and to top this, the bill was very light(€29 for a menu 3 courses). If we do go back to Amsterdam this will be definetly a stop and we will make sure to let people know.
