Mamouche Review

Romantic and posh, this spot has been a hit with locals. This North African restaurant takes delight in the smallest details and prides itself on friendly service—a good thing, then, that all signs of this location's past as a Hell's Angels bar have been erased. Home-runs here include the couscous with saffron-baked pumpkin and the savory lamb tagine. As for desserts, the Hob El Habiba—a chocolate-and-date pie—will have chocoholics saying a heartfelt amen.

    Mamouche Review

The restaurants looks and feels like any European eatery, very sleek and clean looking. The staff is super-nice and helpful. The food though is nothing special, sort of middle-Eastern themed and adopted to European tastes. Nothing spicy or overly interesting, rather generic, while a good value in this over-priced city, do not expect to be wowed. I would not go back, though we had a good, very civilized time, I would have preferred a louder atmosphere with edgier food. I grew up on middle-eastern cuisine and this was a disappointment, bland in every way.
