One of the city's most widely acclaimed restaurants, Blue Pepper features the inspired cooking of chef Sonja Pereira, whose previous restaurant won her a Michelin star. You can order just about anything and rest assured that it will be excellent. If you're lucky, the ever-changing menu might include Kambing kecap, where panfried tender pieces of lamb are cooked with lime leaves, lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce, and chili peppers. Unlike many other Indonesian restaurants, you won't have a thousand different dishes piled on your plate here—just a few obsessively prepared ones. There are full prix-fixe dinners (EUR 40-EUR 55) and a savvy selection of wines. Be warned: the price of a main course is deceiving, since you'll always be inspired to spend more than you planned.
