Fodor's Review:

For those backpackers who like to chill out and save a load of money, the Flying Pig Palace is the favored choice of "piggies" everywhere. The admittance policy is strict: if you're not a backpacker aged 16 to 35, you'll have to look elsewhere. The price includes not only breakfast and sheets, but also free Internet, and the use of in-line skates (so lace up and explore the park, or join the once-weekly night skate throughout the city). There's a bar claiming to serve the cheapest beer in town, and you can cook with other guests in the kitchen. If you're traveling with an amour or don't mind sharing with a friend, the best deal is to book a queen-size bunk bed in one of the dorms. Pros: fun atmosphere, tons of activities. Cons: no particular Dutch flavor, can be noisy.

  • In-room: no phone, no TV (some), Wi-Fi (some).
  • In-hotel: bar.
