Fodor's Review:
Guests return year after year to this romantic canal-side hotel. It occupies an 18th-century house and is a national monument (which is why there is no elevator). Rooms here are larger than those in similar historic lodgings; those in the rear are especially quiet. Room 8 on the top floor has a garden view. Antiques and hats are for sale in a small shop within the hotel. Pros: on a quiet stretch of canal, close to dining options. Cons:no real communal area, no restaurant.
