Warner en Consorten Review

Formed in 1993, this group embraces an interdisciplinary concept of street theater: sculpture, dance, physical acting (such as mime), and music collide and challenge the concepts of theater, urban life—and reality. The results are often Dada-istically hilarious. Public space is the starting point: streets are analyzed, crowd behavior studied, passersby observed. During the winter months, the company finds abandoned warehouses and factories for venues; in the summer, city streets are the theaters.
