Fodor's Review:

V & D, as its called by the locals, is an upmarket version of Sears, selling clothing, shoes, office supplies, and household items. You'll also find a large stationery section and a fine array of computer software. The adjacent eatery, La Place, makes for convenient refueling, and its bakery spills back into the department store to offer vitrines of exceptionally tasty chocolates, marzipan, and souvenir candies.
