Fodor's Review

With the feel of a boisterous high school cafeteria—albeit with an open kitchen in the back—this new Flemish restaurant in Amsterdam's emerging Eastern District boasts some of the liveliest diners in town. All the excitement must be over the three-course daily changing menus; you may find duck sausage with smoked duck slices, green beans, and roasted hazelnuts; or perfectly roasted chicken with rosemary, served with a Belgian-style salad of lettuce, vinegar, and potatoes. The flavors sound deceptively simple, but the preparations give more expensive places a run for their money—and, unlike at school, the casual, friendly service is sure to bring you back for seconds.
