Fodor's Review

There are plenty of mediocre late-night eateries around the Leidseplein, but the bamboo'd and somewhat-cramped Bojo stands out for serving huge portions of enjoyable food. You'll find everything here, from saté (skewered and barbecued meats) to vegetarian gado-gado (vegetables drowned in a spicy peanut sauce) to their one-plate rice tables where several different small dishes are brought together. Two notes: Bojo is open daily until 2 am and credit cards

are only accepted if you spend €35 or more.

Cheap, but not cheerful

On the basis of last night's 'Bojo experience' we certainly won't be returning. Second-rate food (some of which re-appeared very early this morning - don't ask...), irritatingly unctuous service, a draughty front door and insufficient space between tables all made for a very disappointing evening. The 'rice table' is a mini version served on one plate. Hardly 'monumental'!
