Fodor's Review

The 2013 winner for both the Prix Villégiature for Best Hotel Floral Decoration in Europe and Fodor’s 100 Hotels Award "Culinary Gem," this Belle Époque hotel, set on land that once belonged to Pope Leon XIII, has pulled out all the stops in its decoration—famed Paris designer Jacques Garcia has given the rooms his signature hyper-aristocratic look and Karl Lagerfield is the architect behind The Odyssey pool and lounge. The hotel has a unique distinction of having

two acclaimed restaurants: the impeccable Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo and Yoshi, his sushi eatery. The head chef is Joël Robuchon; however, since he can't be in Paris, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Monte-Carlo, and on television at once, Christophe Cussac runs the open kitchen day to day. If you don't want a full-blown meal, lighter food is served all day in the super-chilled bar and spa, where you can have the only bamboo massage in Monaco and France or an anti-aging facial.
