Banks are generally open weekdays 8:30-4:30, though some close for lunch (noon-2). In Luxembourg City, an automatic exchange machine in the Rue de la Reine accepts banknotes of most foreign currencies. Museum opening hours vary, so check individual listings. Most are closed Monday, and in the countryside some also close for lunch (noon-2). Shops and department stores are generally open Monday 2-6 and Tuesday-Saturday 9-6. Some close for lunch (noon-2). A few small family businesses are open Sunday 8-noon.
