Airports and Airlines

Most of the main international airlines offer connections.

All flights land at Findel Airport, 6 km (4 mi) east of the city center.

Car and Ferry Travel

Luxembourg is easily accessible in a day from London and the southeast. Nearly all ferries from Britain to the continent take cars, as does the Channel Tunnel train (www.eurotunnel.com). Several companies operate sailings direct to the Belgian port of Oostende and the French ports of Calais and Dunkerque.

Transeuropa Ferries offers about 3 services daily from Ramsgate to Oostende. www.transeuropaferries.com.

P&O Ferries has around 20 sailings a day in each direction between Dover and Calais. www.poferries.com.

Fares vary considerably according to season, journey time, number of passengers, and length of vehicle. However, by traveling off-peak, early in the morning or late evening, or in June and September, you can reduce costs.

Train Travel

Between the Airport and Downtown Luxembourg City

Luxembourg City Bus 16 leaves the airport at regular intervals for the main bus depot at the train station. Tickets are Flux €1.50. A taxi ride from the airport to the city center costs about €35.
