St. Nicholas Gate
St. Nicholas Gate Review
St. Nicholas is associated with Christmas elsewhere, but here he's revered as the patron saint of fishermen. Once the formal entrance to Remich, the St. Nicholas Gate now stands at the foot of town on the Esplanade, with a rendering of the saint standing over the arch. St. Nicholas is honored in the area every year on December 5.
