OFFICIAL RULES
1. ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You must also be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and 18 years of age or older to be eligible. All federal, state and local regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Employees of Random House, Inc. and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers and agencies and their immediate family members and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter this contest.
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The sweepstakes begins 12:00:01 a.m. ET on May 10, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 p.m. ET on June 30, 2010.
3. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, go to www.fodors.com/world/europe/itineraries/sweepstakes/ and submit your e-mail address, name, and zip code as requested. Only one entry per valid e-mail address is permitted in any 24-hour period. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries from anyone tampering with the entry process. In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider). Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are late, misdirected, lost, garbled, or unintelligible, including those due to computer or network malfunction or congestion (including at sponsor), and any such entries are not eligible. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor, and will not be returned or acknowledged.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One (1) winner will be chosen at random on or around July 19, 2010 from all eligible entries received by the entry deadline. The winner will be notified by e-mail and will be required to complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release within seven (7) days of the date of notification. In addition, the winner's traveling companion must execute a Liability Release within the same time period. Noncompliance with these conditions by the deadline will result in disqualification, and sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner in such circumstance
5. PRIZE: A Viking River Cruise Package for two (2) following the "Rhine Getaway" itinerary with travel through the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland. Package consists of eight (8) days and seven (7) nights lodging in a Category B room (double occupancy) aboard the Viking Sun or Viking Helvetia; daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the cruise (seven (7) breakfasts, six (6) lunches, and seven (7) dinners); and six (6) guided tours. Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate prize provider at its sole discretion. Total ARV of prize package: $4200. All expenses and costs associated with the prize that are not expressly specified in the prize description above, including but not limited to airfare or other transportation to or from the port of departure, ground transfers, other shore excursions, hotel service charges, personal onboard expenses, or applicable passport, visa and entry/exist fees, will be solely the winner's responsibility. Prize is provided subject to the Viking River Cruise Contract with the winner and applicable terms and conditions set forth therein. Winner must complete all travel and claim all elements of the vacation package by December 27, 2011. Cruise dates are subject to availability, blackout periods and restrictions. Travel arrangements must be made no more than ninety (90) days prior to cruise departure date. Once travel arrangements are made, no changes will be permitted by winner. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary. Winner and travel companion will be responsible for securing passports, photo I.D. or other travel documents required for travel. No transfer or cash or other substitution of prize permitted, except by sponsor, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable or greater value. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with prize of equal or greater value. Any taxes on prize value, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of winner.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating in this sweepstakes, entrants agree to release sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prize. Winner authorizes the Released Parties to use his/her name and likeness, and the names and likenesses of his/her travel companion, on sponsor's website and promotional materials, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation unless prohibited by law.
7. WINNER'S LIST: For the name of the winner, available after August 1, 2010, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Fodor's Travel/ATTN: To Europe Sweepstakes, 15-3, 1745 Broadway, New York, NY 10019 by August 15, 2010.
