Room

Staying at 3749 Ponte Chiodo is like spending the night in your friend’s well-appointed home. Guest rooms are cute and cozy, done up in soothing colors; some feature traditional Venetian floors and beamed ceilings.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are on the small side and all have showers only, no tubs.

You Should Know Though most of the bathrooms are en-suite, the Standard room has a bathroom down the hallway (though it is private).

Lobby

The fragrant garden area is really the lobby, with lots of little nooks to relax in or to swap stories with other guests.

Dining

There’s no restaurant at 3749 Ponte Chiodo, but a lovely breakfast is served in the garden on nice days or otherwise inside the communal breakfast area.

Tip If you’re a coffee lover, don’t miss the delicious cappuccino.

Getting Around

A ferry from the Ca’ d’Oro vaporetto stop (4-minute walk) will drop you off in San Marco and other locations around Venice, or hop on a traghetto from the nearby Santa Sofia stop (5-minute walk) to head directly across the canal to the Rialto. If you prefer to walk, San Marco is just over 15 minutes away.

Restaurants

Charming family-run Vini da Gigio (2-minute walk) offers tasty pastas and seasonal dishes with a great wine list. Cozy Osteria Ca’ d’Oro alla Vedova (3-minute walk) is known for its polpette (fried meatballs) and local vino. Reserve in advance for a great selection of traditional dishes—especially the seafood—at Osteria La Bottega ai Promessi Sposi (6-minute walk).

Bars

VinoVero (3-minute walk) has a lovely selection of wines by the glass and tasty nibbles. El Sbarlefo Cannaregio (7-minute walk) offers delicious cicchetti like the classic sarde in saor (sweet and sour sardines), plus a good choice of wines and cocktails, while petite wine bar Un Mondo di Vino (9-minute walk) is a great place to enjoy aperitivi (wine or spritz and bar snacks).
