This unpretentious bar-bacaro sits on the western edge of the Zattere promenade, near a pretty, breezy side canal. It caters mainly to workers from the harbor over the bridge, with a raw and real atmosphere full of dialect, rounds-on-the-house, and jokes from the young owners Matteo and Silvano. The classic cichetti are available, and lunch features a good-value set menu, with dishes such as pasta with shrimp and zucchini.

This place is great for sampling the real Venice. Run by locals for many years, visited by tourists and Venetians alike - excellent seafood pasta dishes! Be aware - it is a busy place and the outdoor area is next to a crossroad and a vaporetto stop. Next door to the San Basilio Cruise terminal and 1o minutes walking from Accademia.
