$$$$, Italian, San Marco
Fodor's Review:
An enclave of Tuscan cuisine two minutes from Piazza San Marco, this is a cozy, relaxing -- and very expensive -- spot, with paintings and copper pots hanging on white walls and candlelight at dinner. Start with the un-Tuscan tagliolini alla bottarga (with roe). The reputation of the restaurant has been built on its famous bistecche fiorentine (two-pound Chianina beef steaks grilled over olive-wood charcoal), but game and fish are also reliable standards.
