Why We Like It

We’re modern art aficionados, so the combo of contemporary hotel with easy access to Venice’s top modern art spaces is too good to pass up.

Fodor's Expert Review

Charming House DD724 offers an unusual vibe for Venice: a moody, ultra-contemporary space chock-full of Italian furniture and with modern art on the walls. With only six rooms, the setting is intimate, and the location is ideal for modern art lovers, right next door to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and close to Punta della Dogana.

You Should Know If you’re here for over-the-top Venetian décor, you’ve chosen the wrong place.

Room

Guests rooms are done up in greys, browns, and beiges, with wood floors and pops of colors in the pillows and modern artwork. Italian designers created the sleek lamps, coffee tables, rugs, and other furniture, and some rooms have views onto a canal or the Peggy Guggenheim Collection garden. Complimentary bottles of Prosecco in the room are a nice touch.

Tip For extra comfort, you can request memory foam pillows for the bed.

Bathroom

Neutral-colored tiled bathrooms have rain showers. One of the suites has double sinks and one has a bathtub.

Lobby

There’s really no lobby, but there is a small lounge with a long black couch, pillows, and a TV where guests can relax.

Dining

Charming House DD724 doesn't have its own restaurant, but a delicious breakfast spread is served each morning, with eggs and bacon made to order.
